2011 Baseball Predictions

Why should you read my predictions? Oh I don't know, why don't you look below when I told you in September that the Green Bay Packers would win the SuperBowl, and come February...they were standing tall.
I'm on a hot streak. One in a row. (Thank God I didnt post my ATTROCIOUS March Madness picks). Anyway, this is how I see the 2011 season unfolding. So in other words, you don't need to watch because this IS what is going to happen. Go ahead Chang, "Naturally."

AL East
Boston
New York (Wild Card)
Baltimore
Toronto
Tampa Bay

I am not a homer. This Red Sox team is loaded. If they don't win the division then something went incredibly wrong and there is a possibility that I am not living. The Yankees will win the Wild Card. Baltimore will be over .500. WRITE IT DOWN. Toronto and Tampa will suck.

AL Central
Chicago
Detroit
Minnesota
Kansas City
Cleveland

This will be the most competitive division in baseball. However, in the end it will be a 3 team race and I see the White Sox coming out on top. Cleveland may not win 50 games. Kansas City is a few years away...But coming.

AL West
Oakland
Texas
Los Angeles
Seattle

Yup. You read that right. The Oakland A's will win the West and the AL Champs of last year won't make it back to the postseason. Hey...I'm drinking the A's Koolaid. They are going to be dangerous. Their pitching is filthy, so if they stay healthy, they may even win by 8 games or more!

NL East
Philadelphia
Atlanta
New York
Florida
Washington

Same old story in this division. Atlanta hangs around, but Philadelphia has ridiculous pitching. Not much more to say. Jayson Werth sucks.

NL Central
Chicago
Milwaukee (Wild Card)
Cincinatti
St. Louis
Pittsburgh
Houston

Love the Cubs this year. Not sure why. I think they are going to make a run. They of course will lose in the first round, but I like their pitching. Love adding Matt Garza to the fold. Big things out of him. Bernie Brewer will be pumped as the Brew Crew will take the Wild Card. Another good move getting Grienke to the National League to pair with Gallardo. St. Louis suffers big time with the loss of Adam Wainright.

NL West
San Francisco
Colorado
Los Angeles
Arizona
San Diego

I still like San Fran, but by default. I think this is the worst division in sports. Nevermind baseball. I'm NFC West biased, which is a close 2nd. More like 1A and 1B. Either way. Thats that.

AL MVP: Robinson Cano
AL Cy Young: Jon Lester
NL MVP: Prince Fielder
NL Cy Young: Roy Halladay

ALCS: Red Sox over Oakland

NLCS: Philadelphia over Milwaukee

World Series: Red Sox over Philadelphia

Its our year. I promise its not because I'm a homer (I may be but still). We can't lose. We are too good! Too much offense. Solid pitching. We can't lose, can we? Til Next Time...

Keep Singing for your Children lady

Almost gave her a dime. ALMOST. Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On is the same song that I sang to Tim Busa to make him fall asleep in Philly.

The NFL has hit LeBron James low

This is making me sick. So much so, that I feel the need to blog about it. Well, like Ric Flair (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) has done 54 times in professional wrestling, I am doing today. Pulling my name out of retirement and I'm BACK.

Back to my point. While the NFL is arguing over 9 billion dollars and I repeat, NINE BILLION FUCKING DOLLARS, we have a tsunami/earthquake that has burried Japan, Tom Brady has a pony tail AND a headband, me and my business partner, Beej (www.scoopblogg.com), have become IM buddies, and well, I still haven't tasted the brilliant meatloaf of one, Ashley McKinney.

But its all good because LeBron James sucks still. Is there a better thing in life than watching LeBron James choke away another season? With one more loss, LeBrick has officially clinched the spot for one game below what he accomplished in Cleveland last year (record wise). I LOVE IT.

And the NFL has hit that level. Seriously? This is disgraceful. How hard is it to sit down, and agree upon a damn CBA and get back to work. Right now, we should be talking about why the hell the 49ers are in contract talks with Alex Smith on a 7 year contract, or how the hell DeAngelo Williams signed for the minimum to play for New England (this is just the way the world works). Instead, I've been miserable and trying to find out why I have had a stuffy nose for 3 months.

All in all, I'm aggravated. Give us the game we love. For the love of GOD, if I have to spend my Sundays in September APPLE PICKING because I have no excuse to watch football, someone is going to pay. And by someone, I mean me. So please, come together, strike a deal. For the fans. For you. For me.
