This is great though. They are +160 in Vegas as of this morning. The Lakers are -130. If you don't understand that, then you do not gamble. It means the Lakers are favorites, and I'm pretty sure thats just what the Celtics want. Keep doubting them. That's when they are at their best.
Kobe is a different animal. I get it. In fact, I really, really like Kobe. I enjoy watching him play the game. However, just like Wade, LeBron, and Dwight all learned this postseason: The NBA is a team game, and nobody has a better team than the Boston Celtics. It doesn't matter who is their guy. They do not care who scores the most points, who is taking the most shots, or any of that stat stuffing BS. Truth of the matter is, they just want to win.
And that's why I'm taking the Celtics in 6. Green 18 -- hang it in the rafters. Balcony seats at the Garden will be $100.00 per ticket next year. Can't wait. It's all worth it to hoist that trophy, and give me something to yell about and use my loud clap. Let's go boys. May the Rajon Rondo show begin.
Also in the News:
- I'd like to say farewell to the best baseball player in the history of the game. And if anyone wants to argue me on this, well, bring it. You won't win. Ever.
Ken Griffey Jr. retired yesterday. Simply put: This guy was my hero. And what better of a guy to look up to? He was the best to ever play and he did it the right way. If he never got hurt, I can only imagine the numbers he would have put up. (And this is coming from a person who loves Barry Bonds too). So, Farewell Jr. I'll still rock your Griffey for President in 96 pin that I have. I'll still rock your jersey, even though I grew out of it 6 years ago. I'll still remember the way you played the game: with your heart on your sleeve. Best of luck to you my man. - Armando Galarraga had a perfect game stolen from him last night by umpire Jim Joyce. Yup. Terrible. But the worst part about this whole thing? How bad is Cleveland? They are a Double A baseball team right now. I'm glad Joyce called him safe. I really am. There is no way that Armando Galarraga should ever throw a perfect game. In fact, I'm 100% convinced that I could get a hit off of him. And in reality, sure it was a blown call, and he was definitely out, but watching it in real time speed...it wasn't an easy call. Jim was just on my side, and knows that this guy is tarnishing the great pitchers who have thrown them (not saying bums haven't but you get the idea).
- Notre Dame Football kicks off in just 93 days. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
- UPDATE: Grow-A-HO is really kicking in. She is about as tall as the glass. Soon I may have to put her in the tub. Video to come within the next few days.

Griffey would have been a lot better if he hadn't used steroids throughout the 90's and early 2000's.
ReplyDeleteI hate you McCarthy. Just saying.
